Elena Huergo

Elena Huergo is Associate Professor of Advanced Microeconomics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Complutense University of Madrid. Her fields of interest are firm’s behavior, productivity and economics of innovation, with her most recent research concentrated in the impact assessment of public aid for R&D projects. From 2006-2010, she was advisor at the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology, a Spanish public organization, under the Ministry of Science and Innovation, that grants financial help of its own to companies and facilitates access to that of third parties for the execution of both national and international R&D projects. She is currently member of the group for the development of a firms’ innovation panel data base, collected by the Spanish Statistical Office under Cotec and FECYT sponsorship.
